I'm sure you've seen and heard them before. Typical lines include, 'we'll get it done ASAP in 2 working days ( or the ambitious would say in 24 horus)', When asked why wasnt it done, typical answers include ' The technician hasn't got back to us / your application has just been sent / system failure / etc etc. After a week of waiting, you start to get frustrated, and ask to speak to the Supervisor. ' Supervisor's not around/Supervisor will look into it later/ Supervisor is on another line' etc. NEXT STEP! Speak to the MANAGER! He calls you back! WOW! but he reluctantly listens to your problem and forces you away by 'GUARANTEEing' it to be done by the next working day! Does it happen? you tell me!

However, let's give 'fastcashonline.com' the benefit of the doubt. They could be practising what they preach! All you need to have is

1) an active bank account

2) employed or have a verifiable income

3) 18 years old or older

ALL the same procedures. I'm interested to find out if they all have the same outcomes!

So if you're interested in Payday loans, try it out, and do drop me a note about it!

Overnight Cash Advance

Have you ever needed cash in an emergency? I'm in violin I division this time, and honestly speaking, its quite scary! Cuz there're only 2 of us, and most of the time, my desk partner(music student) isn't free for rehearsals! So I'll be playing the solo parts. It has been quite OKAY so far, but I can see the challenge already. SO MANY HIGH NOTES + weird timings ( modern music )! They're really nice though, you can have a look from here. I try to practise before rehearsals, just to know what the notes sound like! ANd these are all original music, so nobody has heard it before, even the conductor! Its really cool though, as we put our own interpretations whenever we feel like it. Well, at least not until the conductor corrects you, you're doing fine! If only the music can be written this way..

Composed by ......
Arr. by .....
Lyrics by ....
Interpreted by ...TSE HAN..ahhaha. nah..

There are 4 sessions available.all tix are 12 dollars if bought from me ( I give discounts!~)

21st - 7pm Union Theater

22nd - 7pm "

23rd - 2 pm "

23rd - 7 pm "

PLease come and support us, or at least ME! =)

Limpek + Ee Ling (Part 2)

I used the computer in Uni today, thats how I got all the pics uploaded. This group comprises enthusiastic students of various educational backgrounds who sit together to produce something so intricate and professional; all derived purely from talent and passion! But ever since I visited their website, and heard their previous soundtracks, I have a totally different perspective to the group now. I feel really honored being part of them. Quick click and stream their OST of Tails on their website, and you'll be mesmerized by how talented these students are. Remember, its a student production! I really like the song 'rest in peace' for its composition. The other songs are really good too, it shows diversity in their compositions.

Anyway, semester 2 is going to start on the 28th of July, and I can already see how busy I will be, playing in 3 orchestra ( might be 4 , subject to availability ). Just like what we used to see on those television dramas (typically HK TVB dramas), some heirs who wished to have more share than what is given, will come up with arguments to express their dissatisfaction. Apparently there're several ways that could deem the decedent's will improper.

Just to name a few :-

1) the decedent may have been improperly influenced in making gifts

2) the decedent did not know what they were doing (insufficient mental capacity) at the time the will was executed

3) the decedent did not follow the necessary legal formalities in drafting his or her will.

Don't you think these scenarios looked familiar? As seen on TV? lolz.

Anyway guys, why do you need a will?? Is it just a simple way of setting your wishes before you die? Are we too young to write a will? I think we should all be aware of these when we start earning an income, or as soon as we have ownership to some degree of 'valuable properties'. Be it a house, a musical instrument, an artifact, antic etc etc.

My last words, consult orange county probate lawyer.

THink about it guys. Try this, bathing at 2:00 am!

Nothing new, i suppose.

How about this, Cutting hair at 2:30 am! Yes, for whatever reasons, I don't know! But it happened to me.

I've figured thats the disadvantage of knowing the contours of your hair too well. You can't keep your hands away longer than how long the shape of your hair lasts. I for one has too much hair! Gee! Oh, and I was discussing with a friend about what exams do to us and how it affects our nocturnal activities - I started googling for my friends, he started naming his children, she started writing song lyrics; all in the wee hours of the morning. If this goes on, I might just start making Sambal someday! HAHA! Exams should definitely be abolished.

Anyway,

It was the night before a performance with 'The Melbourne Sinfonia' - affiliated to the Royal Children Hospital, at Melba Hall, Melbourne University; when the scissors started snipping away; when my hsemate had to hold his pee ( sorry! that wasnt intentional, noticed your lights were out, haha! ), and my desire to look better struck. verdict - NO regrets. I look awesome =) *aussie style*

It turned out that I was the youngest player that night. The people there are, Seasoned ( not old ), though I was pretty amused by their age. Juliette, who sits next to the Concert Master, looks just like an ordinary grandmother, but when she plays the violin, it just blows you away. She is a retiree 'concert master' of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (MSO) equivalent of MPO in Malaysia. Not only her, there're many others who play just as well despite their age. You should definitely consider this as your retirement hobby!

The performance went just fine for Brahms Piano Concerto no. 2 (but Tim Young - pianist - was excellent), as I was obviously not well prepared for this, since I hadnt heard of it enough coupled with all the frequent key changes + synchopations throughout. I made some really embarrassing mistakes! haha, eg, having played an extra chord when everybody else were at 'rest'. LOL, I could still remember vividly how my desk partner tried to warn me about the double rest ( instead of 1), but it was all too late. Thank god I was in second violin div, well hidden from everybody else.

On the other hand, I know I played Beethoven Symphony no. 5 well, our second piece. A piece almost overly used today, till it might have become a phobia to some; I was bored of that piece initially, but after going through it (playing it) with Conductor Joannes Roose, it blew me by how beautifully this piece is organised. It was definitely the blast of the night. Listening and playing to it, is DIFFERENT! I for one thoroughly enjoyed the excitement of playing it. I couldnt have enough of it!

GOsh, I have tried uploading the pics like A million times and its always an error. Sorry for another wordy post.

I shall stop here..

B for BRAVO!!!

Dear loyal readers,

I'll be performing in an orchestra this weekend (10th of May 2008)! Finally, my BIG dream came true. I'll be playing under the violin 1 division, which is pretty hard for a start for me. Furthermore, we don't have fixed desk partners. So yeah, I have to make sure I get the one on the left, so I play the lower notes at 'div' - meaning divide. I dun mind turning the pages too. lolz.

These are the details (those in aussie, those not in Aussie sorry yeah )

That means, I will need to practise my parts too....gosh, the concert's this sat, and we're not fully prepared yet. lolz. I've lost touch with blogging ( as if i've got a hold of it before...yeah i know what all of you're thinking ) but you guys just keep me going!

All the comments and replies (the few) just proves something about my blog. It is not willing to accept its demise.

More often than not, I always get a lot of inspiration from reading your blogs, and would pledge to revive my own blog. But every time I tried, there seemed a million excuses to forsake it. I guess its just not my cup of tea.

However, let me share with you my current Position as an Undergrad at Uni Melb.

I'm currently doing a Bachelor of Science (new melbourne model) degree, juggling 4 core subjects for the first semester, namely Biology, Chemistry, Engineering Systems Design (ESD), and Advanced Maths (totally unnecessary). The three core subjects will enable me to do Life Sciences for the following years. For the sake of diversity, I widened my major options to the engineering fields as well ( as they receive more PR points ) and took up the unnecessary Advanced Maths subject. Yes, it is really REALLY unnecessary.

Advanced maths is sucking up my life; my energy; my freedom; my EVERYTHING. LOLz.

Every chapter is brand new (to me), and lectures move on week by week at the speed of light! Yup, thats University life, but hard work itself will definitely not pull me through this subject. Certain topics are not even listed in the text book! To resolve this, I have borrowed 8 MATHS books from the library and read them. Problem is, I still don't seem to understand certain things. Sigh.is.all.i.can.say.

BUT, when I actually got to do some questions, the feeling was overwhelming. 1 question in 2 hours, with self study and research, all I can say is pure satisfaction. It got even better when I taught someone who taught me instead the week before. WOW! And I felt more motivated to do more, as though I saw the light at the end of the tunnel.

Then ALL the confidence fell hard, when the lecturer started a new chapter. It was like a new beginning of struggle once again, Dejavu some may call it. I climbed the steps again struggling the steepness of each step. And I was found to be seeking help from the person whom I helped before. LOlz, Its good, and its what tutorials are for, but I wish I could learn it myself.

SO what i need to pass this subject is, PERSEVERANCE !

ESD has been really challenging too, but I'm liking it. We have 3-hour workshops every week, which practically drains your brains empty. They're designed to depict the real-world engineering work field, where you work in teams to solve problems. Of course we don't work on problems straight away, we were first trained to develop problem solving skills. Eg. mind mapping, brain storming, problem identifying, sourcing for information etc. All they do is give us a problem, and we solve them using a computer in front of us. Each session is assessed, and work must be submitted at the end of the workshop. Imagine researching on stuff not heard before, yeah, now you can see how brain draining it is. But you'd feel really great at the end of each work shop, at least i did. I LOVE IT!

Thats about all that is new in the subjects I'm doing.

Recently I have been hanging out with a lot of christian friends, attending church and cell groups. I really love the cell group meets, as it teaches real good lessons in life (just like sunday schools), and ultimately, motivates everybody to accept their challenges in life.

Oh, and some of them are fasting before camp, to make their purpose more significant ( i think ). They can fast on anything that they feel, they cant live without. So there are some who fast lunches, fast from going out, fast from 'not' watching TV. lolz. I was just thinking, if I were to fast, that would be fast from cooking.Lolz

Yes, I really REALLY enjoy cooking and eating as well. I'm good at it. HAHA. So far, I've cooked Bak Kut Teh, different types of Curry, lotus root soup, ABC soup, ginger onion chicken, black pepper beef, red beancurd pork, fried chicken, scallop broccoli, chicken groundnut porridge etc.

More food has been even planned in my mind too, like muscles, radish soup, typical carbonara, lolz. yeah. I cant live without cooking. that would be a really good fast isnt it? hehe.

Oh well, I have said enough. I shd be back completing my assignment on researching the lecturers' research field. Yeah, really weird assignments they have.

Till my next post soon, or next century! Dont bother waiting!

i am the best i am the best i am the best i am the best i rock i rock i rock i rock i'm hot i'm hot i'm hot i'm hot...

wei xiong is the best

hi everyone. this is my first post since forever..

I'm so sorry, i owe you all a drink.. i'll fedex everyone gifts from melbourne, just tag me at my chatterbox tell me ANYTHING you want..

anyway, just wanted to tell you all that i'm safe and sound here.. and i'm like, SOOO hot.. like not the weather you noe, ME!! As a young boy, soccer was his favorite pastime and he became known locally as a member of his town's team. His mother, Adele, who worked in a tobacco factory, and father, Fernando, a baker, instilled a love for music and singing in young Luciano. Fernando was himself a talented amateur tenor, and brought his son along to sing in Modena's Corale Rossi. Pavarotti's enthusiasm shifted from football to opera when the chorus took first prize in an international competition in Wales.

Luciano Pavarotti is a giant in the world of opera and classical music. His international fame has helped these forms of music reach a much wider and diverse audience then it ever had before. Even people who've never listened to a single aria, let alone sat through an entire opera, recognize the tenor's name and famous bearded face.

Pavarotti's recordings, which include collections of arias and recitals, anthologies of Italian songs and performances with the other two tenors -- Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras -- have sold in the tens of millions. He also makes the occasional television appearance, whether in performance from New York's famed Metropolitan Opera House, or as a guest on talk shows. Pavarotti has even tried his hand at acting in the movies, playing a famous tenor in 1982's Yes, Giorgio.'

- Quoted from AskMen.com

I really like this quote...

' Audience members at the Metropolitan Opera looked at one another in amazement. Did we just hear what we thought we heard? Onstage, the strapping young Italian tenor singing opposite Joan Sutherland in The Daughter of the Regiment had just trumpeted a ringing high C, then another, and another. He was singing an aria that most tenors transpose down a step, in order to get by on B-flats (tough enough). But this fellow tossed off every high C in the aria with astonishing ease and brilliance — nine in all. The effect was electrifying. Within a day the Met box office was besieged, and Manhattan's media mills swung into action. That was in 1972'

- Quoted from TIME

Its just half a pitch apart, and was already tough enough; yet he could pull it through without much difficulty. Is it talent or hardwork? I'm not sure, but people describe it as God's touch. Magnificent!

I received this slideshow through emails circulation; an inspiring story. Although its nothing much to do with Pavarotti ( about Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras), but everyone should at least watch it ONCE. Its just 6 pages, but its enough to blow you away. I wished I could put it up like a video or something, but I do not know how to, so please download it.

The Two Tenors.

Though the late Luciano Pavarotti is no longer around physically, his voice shall remain alive to eternity!

Dance with me !

Somehow I'm in the mood to blog again. Its definition is vague but basically means that these children are profoundly growth delayed for their gestational age before birth and at birth.

-Quoted from PrimordialDwarfism.com

Being incredibly small as she is, a lot more care and attention is needed when it comes to raising her. Her parents will have to consistently send her for medical checks such as MRI scans over the years, to check for any potential threats to her condition. And with her fragile body, I believe she will have to be extra careful during activities indoor and outdoor.

The Programme is called 'Incredibly small : Kenadie's story' if i'm not mistaken. I was deeply touched by that programme as everyone else would be. Not only was it educational, but very inspiring at the same time. It was really difficult to wrap your minds around the reality of the images at first, but after awhile, you'd notice what natural sense of humor and charm she has. Indeed, she's a gift to Brianne and Court Jourdin Bromley of Ontario, Canada. I feel that everyone should watch it at least once, and be grateful for who we are today. I pray that she'll continue to live life as spiritedly as she was (on television) in the years to come. Thanks for sharing your story :)

For further reading and pictures of her, please click here.

The Power of Mass Communication..

Since taking up the role as the Vice President Public Relations of HELP's toastmasters club in July, I have been unconsciously applying mass communication to publicise our club. I used to think mass comm is just a term related to languages, communication, event management, meeting-with/working-for the press, etc. Until recently, I finally took note of the word 'MASS' in this widely used 'career jargon'.

First let me share with you how I came to notice this word.

I started off by creating a database for our club. Business cards and contact details were all that I cared for during meetings. Each time, I made sure every member/guest that visits our club will have my business card and vice versa. Then you have events like Club Officers' training. You meet HUNDREDS of new faces coming to HELP, how're you going to network with SO many people at once?

I was really shy and just stuck myself with the HELP gang.

However, there seemed to be another part of me telling me THIS IS THE BEST CHANCE to expand our database. Its D-chance to make our club successful! But then again, I thought, how am I going to start the conversation with the auditor from KPMG? Come to our meeting every Saturday and exchange business cards? Nah... doesnt sound sincere... Get feedback about the venue from the bank manager of HSBC then exchange business card? Doesnt sound very convincing either... Then I thought....ahhhh, I will ask about how did they get themselves here, was it difficult? Then exchange cards so that they can call me when they get lost!

I've found the PERFECT trigger for my conversation without sounding insincere or pretentious.
You must be thinking, is that the end of the conversation already? Probably, since I didn't prepare much. True enough, the next problem arose, what to say next? "The sky is blue today, dont you think? " Speak that, and they would probably look into your eyes with the 'OMG' kinda face and just walk away. Its just TOO bad don't you think?

NO! of course I didnt say that. Most commonly, you'll get interrupted by somebody else, and you just move away. Or sometimes, just say that you wouldnt want to take away their precious tea break time and then make a move. Afterall you only wanted to receive as many cards as possible, right?

What did I do next with ALL these cards?

Data entry. It was then that I realised how important data entry was. I virtually took my sleeping time just to key it into our HELP's gmail account. Its really tedious, but its the outcome that was in suspense... I told the other Exco to do the same thing whenever they're free.

The time is Perfecto! Its time to prepare my email.

Objectives :-
1. Publicise the club blog
2. Invite them to your meeting
3. Make known to them that they're attending a President's Distinguished Club.
4. Make it clear what is the purpose of their attendance

After that, it's time to put them in words. This was the hardest part as i had to strike a balance between making the write up interesting yet professional at the same time. It was not an easy task. What I did about the club blog is that I told them details about out Club Dinner, but not entirely. I created a link just so the HAVE to visit our club blog.

I was shocked to look at the number of unique visitors to our blog (31st July, one day after I sent the mass emails). It was only about 2 weeks old, and there it is. Obviously thats not the actual number of readers daily. They probably really wanted to know about our dinner, or could have clicked it by accident! LOL. Yup that was when I thought, mass emails, is it like Mass Comm??

Mass communication is the term used to describe the academic study of various means by which individuals and entities relay information to large segments of the population all at once through mass media.

- Quoted by Wikipedia

Then I noticed that the number of readers declined. Sigh.. what to do?

I just continued sending them those mass emails, about our club, and kept updating our blog with Shoes. NOt daily yet, just once a week.

Today, we even have visitors all the way from US, Japan, Spain, Brazil, Australia, Singapore, Italy..etc WOW!

Not only that, I found out that our blog is actually worth $1,129.08 . I'm still wondering how is it calculated. This blog is still worth $00.00 . LOL

Anyway, still learning how to make successful blogs! You see, when you you're listening to a ghost story, you'd expect people to scream for their lives telling the teller to STOP. That was not the case for FW, as her stories ended like "the sound you heard was from my dad's fart!" uhuh

or rather,

"There was this passenger in the taxi who was wearing very dirty looking clothes. But after a while, the taxi driver noticed that he's clothes had been cleaned. The taxi driver was very anxious over his encounter as previously there was a stench, but now its only fresh sweet smelling frangipani. So the driver asked the passenger what had happened to him? Was he using somekind of black magic?"

Then FW stopped the story to tell us about how she would face some consequences if she told us the secret of behind what had happened to him. Cliche-d i know, but we continued to bug her about it and finally she gave us the answer.

"USE FAB "

A moment of silence. DOT DOT DOT was on everyones' minds. Now I see you rolling your eyes!

However, she's definitely one hell of a joker who kept the bus ride alive of course. Great one FW! At 4 am, we stopped around Gua Tempurung for food.

Another 4 hours of bus ride ended with panda eyes for all of us. We hardly slept due to those chatty voices from EVERYONE.

At 0530 hours, we were stranded at Terengganu as our speedboat would only arrive at 0830. The long-wait was not that painstaking afterall as we caught a glimpse of sunrise. Then, came the speedboat ride to the big island which was awesome!

I won't go into details of the happenings on all 4 days, but i'll share the gist with you.

Activities
1> Typical aimless volleyball games by us rookies whereby pain+direction was the failing-factor.
2> Snorkelling (RM35/pax) at 4 major sites - the coral reeves, giant turtles, sharks, colder water coral reeves, and final stop was at a freezing fresh water stream.
3> Jungle Trekking cum island hopping by foot. Island hopping was not intended, but at the end of the trek, we were at another side of the island. So we hopped around 4 beaches, 2 more treks and 2 staircases, and one dip into the sea (it was high tide, so the stairs were halfway covered in sea water).
4> BBQ Party organised by Flora Bay Resort..
5> Kayaking + snorkelling on our own
6> Team building games...
7> Joanne's infamous birthday celebration.. you'll know why soon. READ ON!

FLORA BAY RESORT, Perhentian - "The scorching sunlight was quickly shadowed by gloomy clouds; wind hit hard against coconut trees depicting its mood swings. Soon after, the unforgiving whether took a toll on the beach by wiping out the white sand with rain water, closing every possible crab hole. The devillish vampires too were caught red handed, leaving only a small number of them cheating death. These mosquitoes were huge; i'm guessing it needs trice as much blood as the ones here. They were not so lucky afterall as next they had to battle against the fumes released by BBQ. It was Friday the 13th, the night of the living 'blithe procastinator' JOANNE TAN! At this point, everyone was already chocking themselves with their own laughters. Thank God Yuhhui indicated the time-out sign.

2. To give a flying kiss to a caucasian at the resort.

Storyline :

Girl stares at this young lad with 6 packs. He was eating on the opposite table, while girl just sat and looked at him for a long long time. The moment came when he finally looked up to take a peek at who's watching him. Girl immediately took chances. First, she gave him a seductive-one-eye-lashed wink. He got so shy. He quickly looked down.

Then another chance came and this time, she gave him a flying kiss. He immediately blushed. It was RED as blood! I wonder what his parents might think about her. They must be thinking, WOW! Malaysia's got young hookers who's interested in my 15 year old son! Yes, he is very young. HAHAHAHA

We all had a great laugh.

3. Kiss a guy on his cheeks.

THis one very common la...so nothing special

4. Wear her red panties outside her pants like superman, and knock on every chalet door to say hello.

THis was going to be the best dare ever. Imagine her knocking on to that young lad's door, this time with red panties. LOL. Before this, they wanted her to sing at every chalet the birthday song dedicating it to herself...LOL.

Unfortunately, it was kinda late already, so this dare was eliminated.

THis friend of mine really had so much guts to do all these; she's really funny and spontaneous as well.

*TO BE CONTINUED. Thank god they have forgone the RM 50 replacement fee. However, there would be a RM10 processing fee.

*phew*

I have been very busy dancing since Perhentian. Trainings were vigorous, and mind exhausting. Its not like studying for an exam where you just have to understand/memorise concepts which requires a little critical thinking. Its more like observing, and practising coordinations and techniques, and finally getting a little scoldings here and there just for encouragement. (btw, we had to learn 3 dances in 2 days)

The studio is located at Sri Petaling, about 30-40 minutes drive away. Thank God I have Seok (dance partner) to send me there for lessons. Really, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

No matter how good you are, you'll still need initial guidance with the dance steps. Its true that you can learn it from tapes/DVDs; however, learning it from a teacher is totally different. Thats why there's a hole in my pocket now. Private lessons are NOT cheap at all. Uncle William was generous enough to give us student discounts, and of course extra teaching hours too. He may seem to be very commercialise, but to be honest, he's not like other dance teachers I have seen and heard so far. If you want to start dancing, you may want to consider William and Louisa Danceworld. ( He's dance choreographies are very up to date too )

Competition is this Sunday (22/7), so lets hope for the best. Right Seok?

I have so much more to blog about, ie Perhentian trip, the birth of twins from my guinea pig, dancing, Toastmasters...etc... It will be soon.

I will be updating the Help Blogspot now.

Quote of the day : Patience is a virtue. Seriously, things would've gone bonkers without it.

btw, i just found out i need RM400K to go to Melbourne Uni. Well, probably word to word files are easy, but word to Blog? You try it out.

I have been copying and pasting for the past few days, it's all about TM stuff. And everytime you modify something in Words, what you get in your post is TOTALLY DIFF. You spend hours and hours just trying to change here and there. Finally its done. It looks great.

Then you click 'preview'....

ITS DIFFERENT AGAIN...

another few more hours wasted just to change that defect. My grandmother had been hospitalised due to Lungs Infections on Wednesday night, and many of them thought she might go anytime. She's 81 this year. Thank god, her condition stabilised after the 3rd day in the hospital.

I have never been to a General Hospital before this. But now I have seen, heard, and smelled what is it like being in a general hospital. Honestly, it wasn't that bad IMO. My grandmother was put in a wad which had almost 50-60 beds that were divided into male and female sections, and almost everybed was occupied with patients. Though the toilets werent in the best conditions, the floors were sterilised everyday (at least from what i'd seen).

Patients there were of various age group and backgrounds - the teens ( 15 year old swallowed 20 aspirins to attempt suicide ), the middle-income ( unfortunate accident cases, kidney failures), the olds (old age, lungs infection, food poisoning), the criminals ( they were escorted by policemen, apparently they had a fight) etc.

Whats most intriguing to me was the doctor:nurse:patients ratio. There were hardly enough qualified doctors/nurses on duty; yet they still managed to keep the patients alive. That is why GH is the best place for future student doctors to learn i guess, as there was never a time where they had enough docs. ( btw I saw PMC students there everyday, taking notes, doing some practical works and learning the skills required by a doctor; and that was the time i started thinking about becoming a doctor..hmmmm..)

Everytime a patient leaves the bed ie death/discharge, a new patient comes in. And if you stood at the emergency entrance, you would see patients coming at the rate of 1 every ~30 minutes. Thats scary!

Ok, I have diverted too much from my topic.

Anyway, the hectic time of standing by my grandmother's side (no chair) for few hours had been replaced by Penang's delicacies.

Frankly, Penang has become Extremely commercialised. You can never find the good 'ol o-chien (fried oyster with egg) or Asam Laksa or Curry mee at Gurney Drive or tourist attractions. You can still get them there, but they are not as nice as before. Thank god I had my cousins to bring me into smaller town areas to taste the original recipies. I HAD 5 FREAKIN' MEALS EVERYDAY!!! FELT LIKE HEAVEN !! =)

Typical meals :

Breakfast with family - biscuits, roasted pork(not everyday of course), curry mee

Branch with family(so fast?..YUP) - Rice, home cooked food

Lunch with cousin (yes its that quick) - Indian Mee Goreng, Sar-hor-fun, Assam Laksa

Tea with cousin ( once more ) - Ice kacang, Mua Chi, Hokkien mee

Dinner with family ( 2 hours break Thank GOd) - Loads of food.

Supper with cousin ( Still going...yum) - O-chien, Yee min, Sate, Chee Cheong fun

Thats 6 meals already!!!

Trust me, you think you've had enough, but when the food comes, you start to pinch, and eventually own it. Furthermore, food there are not THAT expenssive. Its almost like 'Eat all you want!' kind of concept. BUt then again, it depends on where it is.

Looks like i have to resume jogging REALLY soon now.

I wonder what my dance teacher will say when he sees me...

"you've put on weight!!!"

Quote of the day : BUY INSURANCE!! Thanks to Doctor job. I found this uncommon choice, which in deed is what i'm looking for. Botanists just study TOO much about plants. This option teaches you both about plants and business acumens. However you can only find this course in the US. And Cornell is one of them. BIOLOGY was the COMPULSORY subject. How i really hated Biology....goodness..)

A levels was the best choice to gain entrance to Ivy League Universities. What? I thought I was never going to touch the sciences again. In the end, I chose all three again....sigh

2006 (18 years old) - Horticulturist, Veterinary Medicine, Biotech, Biologist ( With that combination of subjects, I have broaden my knowledge into Medicine eventhough I never once thought of it as an option before. Well I love animals. Biologist, for Genetic purposes, in which i can invent and control the lifespan of living things.)

Well, Biology(apart from Maths) is my Favourite subject now. Somehow, I understand better.

2006 (very recent) - Violin making, Musician ( This is the BEST course I have ever seen. It is my dream come true to study that. It looks rather far apart from what i'm studying now, but did you know that violin making combines the arts, crafts, science and maths? Thats how complicating it is. Currenly, I'm eyeing Cremona International Violin Making School, but I doubt I will be able to make it as lectures are conducted in Italian. And I have to pass their language profficiency test.)

Well, these are a few interesting sites about violin making.
http://www.scuoladiliuteria.com/
http://s11.invisionfree.com/Stringed_Instruments/index.php?showtopic=20

Thats roughly what I see in me.....right now, horticulture, biotech, violinmaking, business, and biology is what i'm thinking of.

Headlines

College life has instantaneously taken up most of my time hence making this blog look boring and plain. Well, this happens when you're forking up ~RM25K for an 'international edu-passport' (something you shd know if you hadnt realised it).

Sunday Night,JW Mariott - A blast, was all they have said. An experienced-talented pianist with a semi-pro violinist ended the wedding function with full magnitude. Though not entirely perfect, still unbelievable. Just a few hours flashback before the performance, the violinist himself had a relentless desire to make it work! All he thought of was Chambers Music. Thank God, the hosts were generous enough to rent a full-size keyboard (RM200/3 hours) with touch-keys to give it a grandpiano effect. It was indeed an unforgettable evening for both the guests and the musicians themselves!

Extracted from, The Hanky Minute

Btw, we were told that people born in the year of the Dragon should not be involved in that function (based on some feng shui calculations). Well, nobody told us about it until we ended. *grin*

My encounter with the awesome Quartet.

Since this blog was created, i hadn't found enough spare time to jot down my 'mood-of-the-day' or 'experience-of-the-day' like everyone else does. And I'm still very busy btw. But something held me back from keeping this to myself. I have to say that i've met some extremely cool people on Wednesday namely Zee Kin, Sandra, Wei En and Kai Yin. Despite their hectic lectures, homeworks, and activities, they showed so much enthusiasm in music. They came all the way from Subang, just to help me out with one of my friend's wedding performance. The worst part for me was when I had to tell them that we might not get paid...WHO ON EARTH WOULD DO THINGS FOR FREE???.....yet they showed no despair at all. Instead, they said they would play for fun. It was indeed a blessing meeting them that day. Their endless support and willingness to sacrifice their time for this performance was just remarkable.

Music connects the human soul, to the human heart. Can we live without music??

NEVER!!!!

A new beginning

Blogging was never my cup of tea - Viewing every angle of your life in public just feels awkward.
