Channel 77

I just watched a programme on Channel 77 (ASTRO) which featured a little girl called Kenadie, who has a rare dwarfism condition, which is believed to be linked to 'Majewski Osteodysplatic Primordial Dwarfism (MOPD) Type II' after being confirmed by a senior geneticist.

Primordial Dwarfism is a category of disorders with many subtypes. Its definition is vague but basically means that these children are profoundly growth delayed for their gestational age before birth and at birth.

Being incredibly small as she is, a lot more care and attention is needed when it comes to raising her. Her parents will have to consistently send her for medical checks such as MRI scans over the years, to check for any potential threats to her condition. And with her fragile body, I believe she will have to be extra careful during activities indoor and outdoor.

The Programme is called 'Incredibly small : Kenadie's story' if i'm not mistaken. I was deeply touched by that programme as everyone else would be. Not only was it educational, but very inspiring at the same time. It was really difficult to wrap your minds around the reality of the images at first, but after awhile, you'd notice what natural sense of humor and charm she has. Indeed, she's a gift to Brianne and Court Jourdin Bromley of Ontario, Canada. I feel that everyone should watch it at least once, and be grateful for who we are today. I pray that she'll continue to live life as spiritedly as she was (on television) in the years to come. Thanks for sharing your story :)
